No Peterson tonight

I want both teams at full strength but if Tarris isn't going to play or if he's hobbled badly like he was at the end of BYU or during the Illini game it's a wash and I'll take it.
I never root for injuries, but we've had our share over the years. I don't feel bad.

Like....2 years ago! Castle was out, Spencer was playing on 1/2 an ankle, and I think Clingan was still getting his conditioning back too.
Last year: AK concussion, Haas knee, Liam ankle, Nowell shoulder.
2 years ago - yes nailed it with Castle
3 years ago - Jax, Hawk, pogo
4 years ago - Dig and AA
5 years ago - Bouk, again Jax, and Tyler
Perry, err Polly?

Goes on and on (we just keep on trying)…

Interesting that some Kansas fans are murmuring Peterson being held out may not be 100% an injury thing, but a dad thing.
Can y expound? If he’s healed from injury why wouldn’t his dad want him to play

probably doesn't want to rush him back, hamstrings can be tricky. Jalen Green was dealing with a hamstring issue for about a month, came back, played 2 games and re-injured his hamstring is now gonna be out a couple months.

Was Spencer's thing an ankle or was he hobbled by a problem with his big toe? I remember hearing 2 different things at the time.

As for the remainder of UConn's walking wounded, graduate guard Cam Spencer (Davidsonville, Md.) is nursing injuries to the big toe on each foot, one which he had heading into UConn's last game at Kansas, the other hurt during that game; sophomore center Donovan Clingan (Bristol, Conn.) has been hobbled by a sore left foot; and redshirt sophomore Alex Karaban (Southborough, Mass.) injured a finger on his shooting hand.

I think he came into the game on 1 bad ankle/big toe/whatever, then early in the 1st half he sprained his other ankle. So he was hobbling around on 2 bum ankles the rest of the game. I think if he had at least 1 good ankle, he would have hit that 3 at the end of the game that would have likely won the game for us.

Cam also had turf toe and hobbled through last kansas game

Btw, is Peterson or Dybantsa the better player ?

If my son was a guaranteed top 3 draft pick in 6 months I’d be cautious too.
Unlike UConn, they have so many ranked conference opponents their OOC record won't mean as much. I'm not surprised his family/advisors are being very careful with it.

Darryn Peterson is soft. This is a big game, what is he doing not playing? He should be resting against the weak conference opponents they have coming up, hopefully NBA scouts aren't watching. Can't have this type of loser mentality around your team
