Technicality solved. There are 5 Huskies on the WNBA all star team. They happen to be on the Team USA Women squad. It would be the same if Tina Charles played for the LA Sparks - and the all star teams were broken in to East vs. West.

Most likely all 5 of the UCONN players would be on the "West" Squad. With that example, no one would say "wow -no UCONN players are on the All Star Team". Yeah - none on the East team. All are on the West.. Just like this year's all star team. None are on the WNBA team side. All are on the USA National Team side...

Side note - Will Camabage even be here for the all star game or will she be leaving for Team Australia duties? Jonquel Jones plays for the Bahamas? They didn't make the Olympics so she may well stay in the US...

If I was picking a mid season first team ALL WNBA, I'd pick:

J. Jones
B. Stewart
T. Charles
J. Loyd
C. Vandersloot

Second team I'd pick:

A. Wilson
S. Fowles
B. Griner
S. Diggins Smith
B. Laney

So of the 10 players who I think thus far are having the best seasons in the WNBA, 7 are on the USA team, 3 are on the All Star Team. So team USA should win, but players like Cambage, Parker, and Arike aren't going down without a fight.
