No go WVU thread?

Hate to say it but WVU has really salvaged the Big East's reputation with their BCS wins (Georgia, Oklahoma and potentially Clemson)
 
The sad thing is despite their pathetic showing, Clemson will not face the type of ridicule we did in all the anti-BCS articles this year.

Tirico just went out of his way to go through the laundry list of excuses why both fanbases didn't travel well.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. They had a better regular season than we did but this unraveling in front of such a huge audience is an embarrassment that won't die down soon. You just won't notice it since a) you won't be trolling Clemson fan sites and b) you won't be so sensitive to criticism of Clemson like we all are with UConn.

I've always heard people talking positively about them. Now got to hear the biggest slop I've heard in a long time. Yeah, let me mix a bunch of 60s and 70s era blues rock bands with schmaltzy lyrics and see what I get. Horrid.

From what I recall, Holgy isn't exactly known for taking the high road and not running up the score. Anyone else see a 95 yard drive coming soon?

the orange bowl looks like a miami football game is happening when they show the above shot from a blimp.
 
OMG they've put in the backup QB in the 3rd quarter of a BCS bowl game because it is such a bad blowout. Never seen that before.
 
I wouldn't mind seeing a team hit an 80 spot in a game. Getting away from the game itself however, it's worth noting that there is zero interest around here in this game. There was a time when you could go to the Orange Bowl game and see powerhouse teams and really enjoy yourself. Now the BCS gives us teams that don't deserve to be in these games and they aren't even remotely compelling. They need to find a way to give us the best teams in the biggest games somehow.

Did u guys see that Our AD has pulled himself from consideration for the full-time AD gig? Chan 30 just announced that Uconn is starting a national search beginning tomorrow.

Back to the game I'm acatually glad about the WVU tonight. We would have done the same thing maybe in a different conference, maybe not. The ACC hasn't got anything to brag about this year and we are possibly going to be a MUCH stronger FB conference in the near future. With 2 FL destinations and Texas do we really miss road games in Pittsburgh and Syracuse?

Edit: Sounded kind of flip. I hope there's nothing like that going on because he seems like a dedicated and decent guy.
