No First Night

I disagree on both. Especially recruits. If that's the thing that swings your decision? Yikes.
I actually disagree with you. It may swing a decision to see the support for that team and to see how they and the coaches interact in that type of setting, I as a recruit would definitely make sure I was here on this day for the team that was probably going to land me. Everyone is different though.

I used to like midnight madness but not anymore when they changed it up like having the men’s/women’s players playing together it became too gimicky and lost its value.

The staff doesn't even bring recruits to UConn for the event anymore even when it happens, because it's so bad. It's not a selling point for Hurley. Feel like it's been close to 10 years since we've really had a huge list of visitors for First Night

I was going to say, when was the last time a recruit came to First Night/Midnight Madness and committed to UConn? We used to have a few recruits there every year but it hasn't been a big recruiting event for Hurley as he's said he's not a big fan of First Night. I'm sure there have been a few who have committed. Did Solo Ball come one year? I think Akok Akok came so that's one. Isaiah Abraham came but he had already verbally committed. Anyone remember any more?

Could have held it in Hartford.
While I respect you and your theory please check out what it costs for UConn to play in the Civic Center, XL Center or what it is called now.
Some where around 100k not a money maker for a preseason exhibition. That would be a very large $$$ drain on UConn as they need so much less at this time.
