Down 5 with 12.5 seconds left and UConn never even fouls? Granted, it would have taken a 'semi-miracle" to make up that deficit and they were apparently trying for a steal, but a quick foul would have left them approx. 11 seconds. A few missed Baylor free throws and a pair of KML/BH 3's......just sayin'.

OSymms had the ball and she's 125% from the line

Geno did what most fans expect others to do when they know its over...didnt foul!

12 sec.... she miss, MAKE SURE you get the rebound, call a TO, get a good shot and it goes in but thats going to atleast take 5-7 seconds, foul again and HOPE the shooter miss, get the rebound, another TO, another great shot etc.

there was a chance but Geno didnt want to go thru it (Im guessing)

I was more disturbed by the way Geno had the entire last three minutes played out.

game management is key, and that includes focusing on where your team is during a game, what they need to do to win at the end, and SIMS (score, defense on BH, manage game), BG(score/defense in lane), madden(defense on KML, doty and farris weren't going to score) Pope (stay on farris) Hayden (stay in passing lanes to keep Doty's passing ineffective), Williams (give some 15-16ft jumpers to relieve scoring, free throws)

Our team knew what they had to do, they had good game awareness

Hartley has ice water running through her veins, she never gives up... 12 seconds and she scores a late 3... dang woman, don't leave her open.... anywhere...

KML is a threat, no matter what, don't leave her open, she can shoot the 3.

Stokes is young, but lengthy...

How about that Buck, she was feisty, she must give Dolson hell in practice.... or maybe she just shows up for this game..? defensively that is.

Farris had a good game, but wasn't scoring, she had good passes, but some key turn overs....

Doty was a no show... zeros all over the stats, just like the last time she played baylor...

i guess our guards aren't so shabby, but UCONN had outstanding guards.... who pass and shoot the open ball like pros... loved the game.

not bad for a women's game... where men often criticize watching women's game is like the1950s in the NBA, this game had excitement and good shooting... good defense, and runs.... drama. awesome game

I agree!! It was just a great game. No appologies for either side. They played excellent, exciting basketball. Props to both teams and both coaches.

Even as a staunch UConn fan I really like Brittany and Kim.

Has there been any discussion of Jeff Van Gundy's analysis and broadcasting skills? I thought he was excellent. Anyway, Van Gundy pointed out that Brooklyn Pope was the one to foul. At one point near the end, she was in, and had the ball. Van Gundy shouted "Foul her", but it didn't happen.

In fairness, no one was near her when she got the ball and she didn't have it long before she passed it away. The only reason Pope received the pass in the first place was because Sims was being pressed in the back court and Pope was all alone at center court.
