Highly unlikely.

It would be nice, though, if they took into consideration that the team was 1-7 without Adams and 15-9 with him. 15-9 isn't NCAA pace, but keeping that pace would have gotten them in the NIT. NCAA takes into consideration injuries; it'd be nice if the NIT did as well.

The NIT finals are at MSG. Dear committee, we'll sell tickets, lots of tickets.

"You're damn right we would! Committee, we live in a world in which post seasons tournaments have expenses, and those expenses have to be paid for by selling out arenas. Who’s gonna do it? Clemson? Seton Hall? We have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom, keeping college basketball relevant in the northeast. You laugh at our conference affiliation, and you curse our football program. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know — that our football program, while tragic, probably saved our athletic department's hopes of going to the P5 and the Diaco coaching nightmare, while grotesque and incomprehensible to, well to pretty much everyone, probably kept our realignment dreams alive. You don’t want the truth because deep down in places you don’t talk about at parties, you want us in MSG — you need us in MSG."

The NIT takes all regular season conference champions that do not win their conference tournament. After that, it is pretty much open to who is selected.

I cant wait until we steamroll Houston by 45, almost lose to Memphis, and beat Cincy on a buzzer beater for the championship.
