NIT Selection Show

In all likelihood the ASU game will be our last at home.* If we advance we're most likely going to Richmond (1) and Miami (2). Not an easy road.

*Until we reach Storrs-South aka MSG

When will we get ticket info. Seriously considering buying tickets if we play at Gampel.

I would not be surprised if the NIT becomes the tournament for the non-P5/Big East at some point. Until tonight I did not think that a split was coming, but after what happened with the Selection Committee, there is no doubt. The only question is what happens to the Big East. Everyone else's fate is sealed.

I've never put those two things together, but you might be onto something.

However, if the P5 can get a revenue split for its 60 teams, why dilute the pot with the Big East?

Jesus! Tulsa can't catch a break. If I'm not mistaken, their first game of the NIT can only be seen on the internet...

Yale did not make the NIT LMAO

That's a tough deal. You lose two buzzer-beater games where either one would have secured your trip to the NCAA tourney, and then you aren't even invited into the NIT. Yikes...

We know what that feels like. Only difference was getting the NIT invite. UCONN>Yale. Yay!

What the selection committee showed us today was that we needed more than one game to have flipped the outcome. We likely needed at least 2 more wins, and maybe even a third. Of course, that could have come from any of our tough last-minute losses, like Texas, Yale, Temple (OT), Houston, etc...

Home. It's crazy, but true...

Like home because they didn't make the cut or because they turned down an invite I wonder?

Richmond finished 5th in A10 and got a 1 seed. Memphis finished 5th in AAC and got a "your services aren't required" notice.

Still more brackets to come. They will get a shot to beat Monmouth yet.

By more brackets, are you referring to the CIT? Do they still have the CIT?!?

The CBI plays a best of three championship. For that alone I enjoy the CBI. That is ridiculous.

It's not out of the question for UCONN, Temple, and Tulsa to be in the semifinals. Maybe SMU can join us since they'll be free by then and we can replay the AAC tournament in Madison Square Garden.

Just look at how Tulsa built on their CBI title. It's meaningful.

It got the AAC to look their way!

Winner of the 2015 CBI's reward is a spot in The American. Assuming they want it.

Quinnipiac totally would join if you threw in Hockey East.

We could use the new haven market. I hear UConn has no presence there.
