NIL To The Extreme

I said it before, and I will say it again - NIL will be the ruin of college sports. Yes, it is great for top tier athletes, but in the big picture, it will contribute to less overall collegiate teams, and less opportunities for students to participate in sports. In addition, there will be no team loyalty for players or fans, just loyalty to the greenbacks! Education is the last thing in the NIL equation!

It was just a matter of time.

While football this anticipates impacts in other college sports.
The inmates are running the asylum.

The inmates are running the asylum.
Well the “asylum” needs to figure out what works best! Frankly they are reeling from the court case loss and they (NCAA) aren’t motivated to fix it to satisfy thousands of member institutions. The best course of action for these member institutions is to implement and put in place people that can they can lead they respective sports teams, whether that be athletic directors coaches and players. In the next few years there’s gonna be talk of salary caps, tampering a division, one level basically becoming even more of a farm league if you would for the professional leagues, what a lot of people don’t understand is that America is a Nation we really don’t like to put restraints on how or who you make money.
I eventually believe that the Congress will get involved because it will become apparent that the NCA has not noted desire to do so, so buckle up people the road is only gonna get bumpier.

Just watched the E60 Paid to Play.

The Connecticut ad was interviewed and indicated that the vast majority of the funds paid were for football and basketball.

Got me to wondering how much the women's program gets and how that's distributed.

From 1 year ago:

Geno is quoted that there would be no change to the women's program.....but I wonder about Sarah Strong. Late 2025 announcements indicated partnerships ( 6-7 figures?) with various organizations got me to wondering if that counts as part of the 20.5 million dollar limitation
