The stretch forward spot will likely be a big need by 2025 with Alex and possibly JS going to the league. We might only have Abraham at that position by then. I like this kid’s game.

.-.

Connecticut: "Coach (Dan) Hurley's intensity, man. There's something I really like about how Coach Hurley holds guys to that standard. He's a really high-level coach for a reason. I think he holds his guys to a standard that is unimaginable and that's why he has so many guys coming out of his program and going to the League now, even young guys. He just does such a great job of pulling the best out of his players and really helping them get better as men and basketball players."

That is music to my ears to hear.

And he wins a little too.

UConn, Michigan State, Ohio State, and North Carolina are his currently setup visits with more possible.

Something about that comment makes me really strangely confident he’ll be in National flag blue, unless he’s looking for the biggest NIL

I think UNC is the biggest competition. Sounds like he’s visiting msu begrudgingly just to show some appreciation due to all the time they’ve spent recruiting him. And sounds like he’s only visiting OSU because it’s his state school

He’s up there

Thomas and/or Mullins
Ament
Bundalo

Hit even 2 of those 4 and we’re doing alright.
When he says “big want” I assume he means among “big” men, and ament and bundalo are 1a and 1b in that regard

Would be curious to what recruits are feeling about Izzo these days - old school grinder, seems a bit out of touch with the new gen. He hasn’t won anything recently nor has a long list of pros. Has some Boeheim feel to him with how he left.

Izzo has consistently been stacking recruiting classes full of 4 and 5 star recruits that mostly stay all 4 years and don't wind up as NBA players(in hindsight Max Christie declaring too early probably looks smart), has been underachieving in the regular season, and now isn't pulling out the miracle tourney runs out of his ass either. I remember reading a few months ago that MSU was an early favorite for him but I would like Hurley's chances given Izzo/MSU's recent history.
