He`d be a great fit as a stretch 4 in Hurleys system. If this kid puts on 20lbs of muscle with those skills im pretty sure hes one and done. Would not hate seeing him in storrs for a season or two.
DC didnt foul out and by the time Karaban got put at the 5 the game was pretty much over so there was nothing to exploit. Game was pretty much over by the 10 minute mark. He's light-footed and looks like a quick first step. Gotta exploit that and maybe put him to guard the 3's at his height. Stetch 4 too but would get swallowed by the Eric Dixon types. Again a prime example of this was during the 2024 Championship game when Donovan fouled out. Rather than going with Samson, Hurley went to Alex and exploited Purdue when we went on offense bringing Alex out and pulling Edey away from the basket. Hurley and Co. clearly amassing assets with cerebral precision to create certain sets in the future.
Never heard of him, but looking him up he reminds me of Chet Holmgren with his handle and drive ability at that height.
at ~215lbs Bundalo is a stretch 4 and at ~235lbs Reibe is a stretch 5Bundalo with a visit, we just offered Reibe, these guys have a similar game. Nice to be in it for both of them, maybe we get one or the other to commit.
Since I'm greedy, I'll take Ament and Cenac.at ~215lbs Bundalo is a stretch 4 and at ~235lbs Reibe is a stretch 5
the choices staff has to make are: Bundalo/Ament at PF and Reide/Cenac at C
We already talking about going double big when they're not even here yet. We can't help ourselves.reibe is a lot heavier and I think more of a center than pf. maybe they can play together a bit.
I watched some other video of him where it had some clips of some better defense, plus some more explosive transition and off the dribble layups and dunks. Maybe the video of that game that was linked was a defensive outlier, but random clips can also be deceiving where they only include the best plays and leave out the player's vulnerabilities. He's #4, right? If so, he looked like a liability on D. Take a close look and let me know what you think. He seemed to get beat all night long. If you can't defend at a solid level, you're not going to see the floor at UConn.
Someone compared him to Flagg, who is a plus defender. Maybe his passing had some resemblance, but not much else. I love the game from most of the UConn recruits, but his overall game concerns me.
Plus the staff is surely like JC and his staff. When he was at a holiday tournament, watching Rashamel Jones, I asked him how he can compare players against others when he rarely if ever gets the chance to see them in a game against one another.early on in the thread, the posts from the rating services that have seen him regularly, mentioned defense positively
If the staff felt comfortable with offering him and feel they can work on any weaknesses he may have, who are we to question? He's #4, right? If so, he looked like a liability on D.
