Never heard of him, but looking him up he reminds me of Chet Holmgren with his handle and drive ability at that height.

He's #4, right? If so, he looked like a liability on D. Take a close look and let me know what you think. He seemed to get beat all night long. If you can't defend at a solid level, you're not going to see the floor at UConn.

Someone compared him to Flagg, who is a plus defender. Maybe his passing had some resemblance, but not much else. I love the game from most of the UConn recruits, but his overall game concerns me.

Bundalo with a visit, we just offered Reibe, these guys have a similar game. Nice to be in it for both of them, maybe we get one or the other to commit.
at ~215lbs Bundalo is a stretch 4 and at ~235lbs Reibe is a stretch 5

the choices staff has to make are: Bundalo/Ament at PF and Reide/Cenac at C

reibe is a lot heavier and I think more of a center than pf. maybe they can play together a bit.
We already talking about going double big when they're not even here yet. We can't help ourselves.

I watched some other video of him where it had some clips of some better defense, plus some more explosive transition and off the dribble layups and dunks. Maybe the video of that game that was linked was a defensive outlier, but random clips can also be deceiving where they only include the best plays and leave out the player's vulnerabilities.

With that said, I trust the staff to do their homework and bring in the best players that fit Hurley's system.

.-.
early on in the thread, the posts from the rating services that have seen him regularly, mentioned defense positively
Plus the staff is surely like JC and his staff. When he was at a holiday tournament, watching Rashamel Jones, I asked him how he can compare players against others when he rarely if ever gets the chance to see them in a game against one another.

His reply was "we see them multiple times", hope all the strengths and weaknesses can be seen individually, and make the call on the best info we have.

Were the rating services a major source of talent evaluation in the 90's?

If the staff felt comfortable with offering him and feel they can work on any weaknesses he may have, who are we to question?:p
