I just killed a few minutes looking at the stats from Nike on our recruiting targets that are now 10-11 games depending on the team. Most stats resemble Hamilton's combine performance - not impressive.

Hamidou Diallo makes people drool because of his spectacular athleticism, and tendency to take over games, but temper the spectacular with the facts. He is shooting 6/35 17.1% from 3 pt. in 11 games, and 60 for 97 from the line 61.9% from a guard who gets to the line 10x a game due to his aggressive style. That matches what I have seen in person.

Zach Brown is averaging 6.8pts and 8.1 rb but 7/19 36.8% from the line.
Ikechukwu Obiagu appears to have played in only 6 of 11 games avg 1.4ppg!!! 2-6 from the field in 6 games and 0/3 from the line. 7 pts overall and 6rpg. Injury or no offense?
Deng Gak only 3.4ppg in spite of that beautiful mixtape #34 ranking and big time offers
Mamadou Doucoure (2018 6'9) 1.8ppg

Hameir Wright 7/27 from 3 pt 25.9%
Jermaine Samuels 16/48 3 pt 33.3%

Mohammad Bamba ok at 12.7ppg 34/50 68% from the field and 21/30 70% from the line but in 10 games that is only 5 total shots a game from a top 5 player in the class. If some pts are in transition or off rebounds that means they aren't going to him offensively.

Nick Richards solid at 52/96 from the field 24/39 61.5% from the line
Jordan Tucker solid 48/119 overall in 11 games, 31/44 70.5% from the line and 24/55 from 3 = 43.6%
Tremont Waters 48/113 36/40 90% from the line 22/53 3pt = 41.5%
Chaundee Brown 53/103 26/31 83.9% FT 12/29 41.4% deep

Adjust your expectations accordingly. It looks like the big reputation big men have a ways to go.

aau stats often aren't as good as highschool stats because aau teams tend to be stacked while in highschool recruits are the center pieces of their teams, but still aau shows a look at what you can expect from recruits their freshman year

6 of 35 is ugly. Can't get to the rim at this level without making some shots.

Zach Brown isn't one of our recruits, we are no longer pursuing him.

Putting too much stock into a small sample size is what led to K backing off Ben Gordon, and us getting him. I wouldn't look too deeply into this.
