Yeah, the patches themselves are a strange inclusion, and having the two options be all or none is annoying. All patches looks awful

While it's great that Nike is featuring us in stuff like this.....yeah, those are terrible looking.

I bought a pair of the ones last year that just had the name on the heel, but the patches look awful.
 
Uggh! It's like someone bought their 3rd grade daughter a pack of UConn stickers and told her to have fun. My 12 year old son collects sneakers. I don't get his taste sometimes, but I know he'd laugh at these.
 
The other thing is that if you remove the patches, there is literally no other evidence of them being a Uconn shoe on it.

the high top option make the patches look a little less intrusive. Either way, if I were to get these, it would be a shelf shoe only, which is...basically pointless
 
Take off the smaller swoosh sign and obviously those two hideous patches. Maybe the word “uconn” or “Connecticut” In very small lettering somewhere wud look dope. So funny all logos are big and loud nowadays even the big horse polo sign - it’s so cheesy - smaller is better. Everything now is “look at me”. Corny

If you play with it a little you can make it so the chunky patch goes away, but still not perfect.

That's the worst part. I don't mind the patches, but the placement here is awful. If they let you pick where to place them and how many then maybe they were on to something. The All or Nothing aspect is terrible.
 
In all seriousness, last year's design was so fresh and classic.

This year's design looks like a punky brewster starter kit.

I'm not 100% but there is a photo of all the patches together on a sheet. Is it possible you can pick and choose which patches you use and where they go?
