I approve of this timeframe!

Nike’s involvement in college athletics dates back to 1985 when the apparel company delivered team-colored Nike Dunks to numerous schools around the country as part of its “Be True To Your School” campaign. But it wasn’t until 1997 when the Arizona Wildcats became the first team outfitted in full Nike apparel and footwear to win the national championship.

Since then, 10 Nike — or Jordan Brand — schools have won a combined 20 national titles while competitors Adidas, Reebok and Under Armour have just three total national titles during that same 23-year span.

With that, the list of schools that will have the gold tab on their jerseys this season include Arizona (1997 national champions), Kentucky (1998 and 2012), UConn (1999, 2004, 2011 and 2014), Duke (2001, 2010 and 2015), Syracuse (2003), North Carolina (2005, 2009 and 2017), Florida (2006-07), Villanova (2016 and 2018) and Virginia (2019).

Saw the article. They showed samples of jerseys from North Carolina Duke Cavaliers ( I think) and Florida; but not UConn! Frustrating. Guess Nike needs a refresher in basic math....4> all those teams

Reminds me of how World Cup teams add a star to their jersey to denote every championship they won. I always liked that.
Agree. Thats why I liked our jerseys from the Kemba era with the mesh designs on the back. Im pretty sure we had stars or something that represented our national championships on them.

Wonder if it will have any number associated with it? As others mentioned we don't do a good enough job of boasting about our 4 titles.

It always bothered me they elected to showcase the women's titles on the floor in the nearcourt (when watching on TV) and then the men's titles you can barely make out on the far side of the floor. Everyone knows the women are the greatest in their sport.

UConn accounts for 20% of the Nike titles. Phil Knight, you're welcome.

Or, UConn has won more than all other shoe company sponsors put together.

These better be available for public purchase too. Would be a good time to get me a new #3 UConn jersey...

Knowing the NCAA, the only jerseys UConn will sell are the #34 ones that are available right now
