Nika vs Longhorns

I want to see the same pressure she has applied in our Exh. and NE games while staying out of foul trouble. If she can do that Tex will turn the ball over. Unlike the couple of posters who are hung up on Nika's scoring, I just want her to defend, and feed the many scorers (Azzi, Lou, CD ?, Liya and Dorka) we have on this team. I think that is a winning formula for the entire season-along with the pressure, switching defense!

Nika will put on a show of UCONN defense that Texas has never seen. They are tall, but not very coordinated. They played a team that their tallest player was 6' had a tough time scoring for a team so tall. WE have the height to face them down and win the game. GO NIKA!!! Have a wonderful game.GO HUSKIES!!!

Their backcourt is not tall. Morris and Gonzalez are no taller than Nika. Holle is 6’ but that’s as big as they get. They list Mwenentanda as a guard at 6’2”, but they use her as a front court player. She doesn’t have the handles to play simply as a guard, at least not yet.
As a whole, then, our backcourt is bigger than theirs, and quicker, with better handles and much better shooting skills. Jones and Gaston will be a good challenge on the boards, but I expect our backcourt to dominate tomorrow.
