I just wanted to make sure my thumbprint got added to this farewell/tribute thread. I might have occasionally run afoul of the Nikalytes in the early years, who could brook no criticism, but impact as a four year player is undeniable. She's a Husky Hall of Famer in my book.

As a side note, as a father who's daughters went 6,000 miles to go to school in a country they'd never lived in, I can really appreciate how fortunate Nika was to find her adoptive American family.

The first contact Nika had with UConn was an email from Chris Dailey asking her if she would be interested in UConn. The email made Nika and her mother cry. Actually, they sobbed for about five minutes. It is only fitting that Nika be crying at the end of her UConn playing career. Wishing you well Nika. Have a long career in the W and visit us often.
