Now many freshmen have ever said THAT at UCONN? Loved this line too:
“Ania has the mindset of a champion,” Makurat’s older sister, Ola, said. “Ever since I can remember she’s always found ways to win. She’s very ambitious, dedicated, and she sets the bar high for herself. She’s hard on herself but very honest. Off the court, her human nature is different than when she’s playing. She’s a happy person and sensitive to others. She has a great heart.”
The last part is probably a big reason why Geno wanted her, regardless of her obvious hoops skills and desire to win.

I know she is supposed to be a guard but when I saw her play against Jefferson, she really reminded me of Jessica Shepherd.
