They are an incredibly talented group but as importantly seem to be able to take a moment to enjoy the ride they are beginning shortly.
I truly believe that in six more games and a few weeks you will see even greater joy and relief on their faces. The expectations and pressure each must feel internally to win this adventure is enormous.

These are great photos, they look like they are having a blast. These were most likely taken at the beginning of the practice season, when the young ladies go into the photo sessions.

Crystal- shin splints
KLS- chronic foot pain
Gabby- injured hip
Batouly- nagging serious knee injury
Lexi- out for the season with deep vein thrombosis

And one transfer

Have I left out anyone? That's five injured, and one transferred.

That's four of the top seven players with nagging injuries. That's why this year's team begins the tournament more iffy than last year's team, even with the addition of Z.

I would have actually liked it if they added Z to the picture and for artistic purposes, place her at the back towering over the rest of the team perhaps with a ball in each hand (or maybe blocking a shot). Geno really thinks of his team as having 6 "starters" anyway.
