Putting aside your dismissive and juvenile response, I take from your "expert" analysis that followed that you are a basketball fan. That being said, and take the name off the jersey, are you telling me that this team plays the game of basketball in an exciting, fundamentally sound way that makes it fun to sit in front of a TV set for 2 hours??
if you opened your eyes, i added to my "juvenile and dismissive" response... did you read it?

yes, i'm a fan and I'm realistic in the expectation that they will struggle at times because of the reasons I listed above.... go back and read please... perhaps you were too juvenile and dismissive to not read farther down....

Is it frustrating to watch at times? absolutely... no one denies that... but just because your kids make stupid mistakes and don't live up to their talent and potential every day of their lives, does that make you any less hopeful, optimistic or excited to have them? does it mean you stop loving them? absolutely not- you take the good with the bad and realize that a team this talented, coached by a HOF coach will not lack for "fire in their belly" all season long...

a clear indicator will be in 37 minutes. i'll feel even more worried about this season or give you kudos.

btw, a little melodramatic with the kid stuff. relax it's a basketball team.

you tell me to relax, yet you post a completely ridiculous post that you're having a hard time watching uconn basketball... was the second half any easier for you???? what a joke

Olander and Giff are overrated. Olander is a great passer tho.

Unfortunately we don't have any good options at SF. RS surely is not the answer. At least NG plays good perimeter defense. TO makes great passes followed by boneheaded passes.

it's gonna be a Daniels, Roscoe, Lamb (when Boat/bazz are in) and Giffey carousel... it'll all depend on the matchups and who is playing decent that particular night...

You must be 12 or a government worker. How was the first half for you there? And iff you think the second half was quality basketball then we have differnet standards and expectations. Yes Drummond and Lamb turned it up but they had a 2 point lead with 3 minutes left to a team that shot 27% in the second half. There are flashes and when Napier gets his head out of his ass and they cut down on turnovers and getting killed on the offensive glass then they can be something special.

i guess that's your try at "kudos" or an apology.... thanks, I think

if you don't like watching the games, why torture yourself? funny how I must be 12 but you are so stubborn you can't eat your humble pie now... if you didn't like watching the second half, I think there are a few other teams in New England you could start rooting for...

oh, and i'm guessing you didn't enjoy the National Championship game last year seeing as Butler shot terribly from the field...

they absolutely do look special at times, which is why you need to have a little more patience and optimism... if you recall, the team last year also looked pretty special at times and almost unwatchable at others... stick with them and keep watching; unless you can't handle watching such pitiful basketball

The last 6 minutes in this game something clicked , the light went on. All this earlier gloom and doom from some is crazy. They are still very young with some experience from last year but no so overwhelming to overcome some growing pains. Only 4 games into the big east and these lame thread pops up. Kinda expected though as some on this board are very spoiled and so quick to throw in the towel and proclaim there unwatchable . Grow up so juvenile.

Yes, at times. No, they are not the most fundamentally sound team out there and the turnovers simply drive me nuts. However, when playing well they are very exciting to watch. Have you not seen Drummond on a good time for the love of Pete? Crazy athletic dunks last night. BTW, that was a win over a tournament-bound team. Their tenacious defense may have had something to do with our issues.

I would like to see us play better but I have watched plenty of other teams that were also supposed to be good look crappy. See Pitt, Louisville, FSU etc.... Hell, did you see Missouri get humliated in their last game? Duke just lost to Temple. Temple! Just about everybody has their struggles and we are certainly having some now. The talent is there, they just need to get their heads screwed on straight before the schedule turns difficult in February. Maybe they will, maybe they won't. But yes, it is exciting to watch.
