It is more interesting than I thought. Hondo was know for high basketball IQ, could seemly always get off a shot even when covered and was huge in the clutch. It is a pretty close comparison.

Well Hondo was in an era with less competition for sure - sort of like today is different than MJs time.

But good comparison!
You can only play in the time period that you played. The fascinating thing is the 11x all-NBA, which puts both at the top of the game in their era consistently, and the roughly equal number of triple-doubles and pts-rebs-asts, equally affecting the game in all areas.
