No.Does anyone else see the irony in a fanbase that ridicules ECU and the rest of the AAC at every opportunity but now treats this guy like the second coming of Nate Archibald?

AAC lacks depth, but definitely has a couple of schools and a few players each year that are near the top of college basketball.Does anyone else see the irony in a fanbase that ridicules ECU and the rest of the AAC at every opportunity but now treats this guy like the second coming of Nate Archibald?
This isn't hard. AAC = Bad, Tristen Newton = GoodDoes anyone else see the irony in a fanbase that ridicules ECU and the rest of the AAC at every opportunity but now treats this guy like the second coming of Nate Archibald?
ECU sucks Newton doesn't.Does anyone else see the irony in a fanbase that ridicules ECU and the rest of the AAC at every opportunity but now treats this guy like the second coming of Nate Archibald?
I don't see it all, honestly. We are excited about a specific player, their best player. Not the program.Does anyone else see the irony in a fanbase that ridicules ECU and the rest of the AAC at every opportunity but now treats this guy like the second coming of Nate Archibald?

We only have 8 scholarship players on the roster currently, one of which hasn't seen any non-garbage minutes in 3 years at UConn, 13 scholarship players at the D1 level.hey matrim - can we assume there's more to come?
To be very, very clear, the issue with our portal losses is quantity, not quality. So, just so we're clear, Newton is better than anyone we've lost in the portal, right?

Newton says thats a woman's job, the man is in charge.Ok, now we’re cooking. Phew!

I think its pretty self evident. Can you edit your post to clarify you're talking about Cam Newton in the Tristen Newtown thread?
But you can replace 2 bad players with 1 great one. We don't need a 1:1 replacement for each body we lost. We cannot build a roster of 11-12 guys who want to play, that's just not possible anymore in todays world. Give me 8-9 guys who can all contribute meaningful minutes and call it a dayTo be very, very clear, the issue with our portal losses is quantity, not quality.
Lines up with Slater's tweet the other dayHurley can be demanding, Newton said. Which is also a draw.
“I feel like everybody needs to be pushed,” Newton said. “Growing up and going through life, everybody needs to be pushed. I don’t feel like I’ve been pushed like that in my life so this will help me.”
