  • Both KLM and Tuck cleared to practice next week
  • KLM will have an individual workout with Shea on Monday
  • KLM shot for 30-45 minutes today and said she made 79% of her 3s (claims she typically makes 90%)
  • UConn and South Carolina will play next year (which was posted earlier in the week by TruthBelow); UConn would not confirm as the contract has yet to be signed.

Duke is not getting worried. They are a talented basketball team, probably the most talented we'll face this year. If we play ND in the tournament, it will be a close call as to who's more talented.

You didn't really just say that it would be a close call with who will be more talented, ND or Uconn, did you?

ND is a good team and I won't underestimate the again, but talent wise, it's Uconn, and it's not that close.

One more game and Uconn will have their 9 player rotation back.

Can't wait.

Outstanding news! Shooting threes requires a significant amount of snap of the elbow...the fact that she seems pain free in a practice set of threes is great!

Tuck was a surgery to fix something floating around her knee, right? It was a pre-existing issue and not an injury obtained during the Stanford game..?

Geez, Kaleena is out for a few weeks, and even the most astute of Boneyarders gets her initials wrong. :)

KLM is a wide body. KML used to be a wide body.

I see your point, Milford. But you can't blame people for mixing up KLM with KML.

They're both extremely hard to guard against when on the wing.

That has been Duke's problem the last three years. They haven't been worried and haven't been prepared either.

I had missed the possibility of playing South Carolina next year. I wonder if there are any profound [or otherwise]
recruiting implications.

No I don't think that's what was meant. I think Chris was saying IF we play ND in the tournament, then we will be able to compare the talent between ND and Duke. (we will have played both). He/she thinks the talent at ND and Duke is pretty close. I agree. Although, when they play each other, that will be a good indicator also.

I had to read that several more times to see what you are saying.

My bad. Sorry Chris.

It will show Wilson what she is missing, one way or the other.
The fact of the matter is, if you want to win a championship, there's really only one place and one coach that can guarantee it. Sure that may seem like a cocky statement, but when almost every single player that's come through your program for the last 20 years has gotten to win at least one, the results speak for themselves. Good players can go elsewhere and have a nice career, but as long as Geno Auriemma is still coaching, the odds of you getting to cut down the nets playing for someone else are against you. I guess I've overlooked the possibility that not every kid wants to win a national championship, but that's counter intuitive to me.
