Guess my spin on this would be negative - maybe we don't think we are getting Stone? Just speculation - I may try to find out more- if I get the opportunity.

They have crazy cognitive dissonance. The second a recruit picks a different school or Cal stops recruiting a kid hard they immediately assume, "oh, Cal must have seen some red flags' or 'he doesn't have what it takes to play for Kentucky'

It doesn't enter any of their heads that maybe he just doesn't want to go to Kentucky. One guy speculates Stone was "rude to his momma" in front of Calipari. If a recruit doesn't want UK, it can only because Calipari doesn't want the recruit. Delusional.
