Kia Stokes with another 3 and almost made a second. Sabrina with her first 3

Watching Arike ignore open teammates to take contested shots is painful.

ETA: Maybe if I posted this in the first quarter, she would have had a better shooting night. lol. 2/2 since posting.

Looks like Ionescu took offense to those who said she had a bad game in her debut. She’s up to 21 pts, 7 reb, 3 ast with 4 min left in the third. This is like a college game for her.

Good news for Liberty fans, Sabrina. Bad news, everyone else. Head bang

After first game, I would have benched her but she played smarter tonight, not her usual throw up and hope night.

At one point in the second quarter there were five UConn alumnae on the floor — Stokes, Jefferson, Nurse, Samuelson, and Walker. Half the players were from UConn.

Still don’t have a big...

Arike and Sabally were three point happy tonight. Arike started hitting some shots , but at the expense of ignoring open teammates. Against better teams her freedom to shoot is going to be detrimental to her teammates because I don't think she will discontinue taking wild shots. If she decided to reel in her ego and start playing team ball and better defense, she could be one of the best in the league. Sabally's ceiling is very high. She just needs more experience.

I thought Lou got under Sabrina's skin and had her frustrated a couple of times.
I believe it was a career high of 12 pts for Lou. She was also +20 and the next closest player was Sabally at +8.

Not really, Sabrina was too quick for her and she gave up 12 points in 5 mins at one point.

Not sure how +/-- works, but when you watch games and then you see the high scorer with a - 15, doesn't make much sense.

What! No triple double? What a failure.
Although if her teammates had better hands and could finish more effectively she'd easily have had a double/double. :) I suspect it will be a very long, even if technically abbreviated, season for the Liberty. The talent disparity vs. Dallas looked like a chasm to me.

I've long thought +/- is a nearly useless measurement that often bears no resemblance to what's happening on the court. A player can be on the floor when her team goes on a big run, she can contribute next to nothing to the run, but her +/- still benefits greatly.
