You can't read. I am not backing off my original post - that was part of it.
I can read just fine...I can also see through your bulls*t every time you post! Do us all a favor here and go back to the basketball board. You have ZERO insider contacts in the athletic department anymore and you constantly stick up for Larry McHugh who should be kept as far away from UConn athletics as possible.

Hey guys inside info : we may or may not fire Diaco. I can't confirm but those are definitely probably the options. Oh and if we do it'll probably be after the point where we save $1.7M.

Gee, thanks Nostradamus.

You realize nobody can do any recruiting right now, right? There was never any chance they'd can Bob a month and a half early at a cost of $1.7M. If he was going, it was only ever going to be in January. Since there is no statement that he is staying, and there has been zero action on hiring an OC...why is it so hard to believe?

Might want to look up recruiting rules for now. @huskymedic help me out buddy. On cell right now.

All I know is that if it's 1/2/17, DB is holding a press conference and Andre and the bitches are in attendance, then I believe it. No 'Dre and bitches, no news.
OC job has been posted...he is wrong again! Looking for some one who will be OC/Asst head Coach/QB coach

Chief - you said AFTER 1/2....Here's the bowl schedule portion around that time. Serious hints seem to be associated. 1/2/17 is a Monday. Regardless of what happens with our coaching staff you got figure that in exactly 2 weeks a lot of stuff will be going on.

Outback PrimeSport Tickets Jan. 2 1 p.m. Tampa, Fla. Florida vs. Iowa

Cotton PrimeSport Tickets Jan. 2 1 p.m. Arlington, Texas Western Mich. vs. Wisconsin

Rose PrimeSport Tickets Jan. 2 5 p.m. Pasadena, Calif. Penn State vs. USC

Sugar PrimeSport Tickets Jan. 2 8:30 p.m. New Orleans, La. Auburn vs. Oklahoma

Generally speaking the job gets posted after the new coach is found. Then you write and publish a job Req that miraculously matches your new hire.

History at UConn has shown the job posting means they have the new hire. Now they're just meeting legal and HR requirements.

True, in May my information was the Big 12 was expanding and they did go down that path and it took many twists and turns after that - the information was good - but the future is never certain - in this case the networks really pushed back hard.

Huskymedic - you know you are not being fair because I IM you about where a football recruit was going and when this year and it was on the money - you did not mention that prediction in your post.
at work, when my forecasts don't come to fruition, I've used the line "the forecast was correct, reality was off..."
goes over will with the executives.

Say what you want about my next comment, but you know who I honestly wouldn't mind one bit became our HC? He just got canned, yes, but he brings in recruits and his offense normally produce... and yes, he's a little older but...

Tommy Tuberville.

Laughing at you and Chiefoo going back and forth with both your speculations
But please clarify - you refer the position as Asst Head Coach but I see Asst Coach - to me there is a difference - aren't all Coordinators Asst coaches?
I really don't know - just asking
I also tend to agree to some extent with those who feel that the position has been filled and the state came out with posting outlining the background of the chosen to cover the PC crap

I read it wrong...it is just Asst. Coach. You are right all Coordinators are Asst coaches..some are Asst or Assoc Head Coaches like Diaco was at ND. The way UConn has written the job posting of the past 2 OC hires and the last hire Wr coach Erik Campbell the "Preferred Qualifications" were written around each coach's resume. As for my back and forth with Chief...he's a moron who likes to spot off about his "insider" information here on the football board....when in fact he doesn't have any and makes predictions like this this thread that don't come true.

Eh, if your gonna axe a coach you just take the hit to your recruiting class that year. It's not like we're battling Bama for the top class in the country. The only reason for a delay is the buyout money. I'm almost positive Diaco is coming back for year 4 though.
Never happier to have,been wrong.

My wish is that someday we don't lose in-state players like Ben Mason from Newtown to schools like Michigan. He's a 3* and UCONN wasn't even in consideration. This needs to change. Les Miles would change this.

This isn't going to change until UConn is in the P-5. Good, bad or indifferent that is reality.

So would a conference change. P5 is a powerful draw.
