Surprised I haven’t seen anything posted on this yet. We received an email at 3:00 from the athletic dept about season tickets for next year. They are showing pricing for the next 3 years for each seating area of both Gampel and XL. At least in the tier we are in our season tickets IF we can get our same seats are going to cost more than double what they were this year. The XL ticket pricing is particularly lofty.

Season ticket prices have skyrocketed. Didn't they just double a year or two ago?

Can someone post that email here? Or maybe forward forward that email to me? Once again, I didn't receive their email and I'm beyond annoyed at this point

I like that they flipped the court at XL. I actually thought the prices were going to be higher. But then I’m not in lower bowl at either venue.

by 2027-28 season, all in cost per lower sideline seat per game will be $271 at XL and $293 at Gampel

.-.

Thank you thank you thank you

I'm surprised the seat donations haven't increased more, hardly at all for me. I was expecting lower sidelines to increase $ 500. Seat prices have increases, but not to the levels I was concerned about.

Picking all venues at the same time is going to present challenges, especially if you have to pick seats in 4 arenas. Have to be fast

No additional seats for anyone anywhere. And no new season ticket holders until after the selection process and only if there are any seats left

For those without seats already, going to be hard to get seats now

I'm not sure if you've gone through seat upgrade process before but it isn't that bad. You can get in early and scope out available seats ahead of your actual selection time slot. The biggest issue is that you can't use any kind of mobile device (no phones or iPads).

There is no time limit on selecting seats but others might be let in if you take too long.

So I track prices pretty religiously, at this year’s prices we were way over market value. You could get into a Gampel weeknight game for less than $25 right before tip.

Weekend games are still expensive, but if you pick the 6-8 games you want to go to and buy secondary market you’d likely save money vs. buying season tickets.

It depends where seats are located. Get in the door price I would agree and we saw that borne out of the multiple times they sold tickets for $25 at the last minute but even just the more decent seats in both buildings were below market value this year.

I will also add there are benefits beyond monetary value including the ability to have the same seat for every game (which we thought would hold YOY but woops!) and as way to contribute to the program.

We have 8 tickets to XL, pretty much sold 4 to every game with the exception of one or two, and after selling them the 8 tickets cost us a little over $200 for the season, with one of the worst schedules in years at XL. I’ll continue trying out r theory vs yours.

Seems like every year my seats get bumped in to the next pricing bracket. First it was Gampel, now it’s my XL seats. Having to pay more for worse seats is not really a good feeling.

I would like to know how many fewer seats there will be in the lower bowl next year.
I estimate about 150 at Gampel. They announced wider seats in the 6 center sections. These sections have about 1000 seats in total (6 sections x 12 rows x 14 seats per row) and the new seats wider seats will be about 15% wider than the current seats. They did not mention any changes in size of seats in the remaining lower bowl sections, so I am assuming those seats will basically be the same size as now.

A few months ago, I was talking with someone that works in fundraising for the Athletic Dept. He said XL should actually have more lower bowl seats but he didn't have the details.

Bingo - zero point buying tickets in advance these days. The best prices are gameday. Why bother committing to bad games?

I have a great seats for what I pay at xl, a bit worried about keeping them or something comparable. I notices on the gampel chard sideline bleachers are rhe same price as chairback corners in the upper bowl. Will need to see what's left when it's my time. If I have to do bleachers I'm out.

are you factoring in the per seat donation x8?

My seats at the XL are now the student section. I’ll see if I can get something comparable in section 123.

Would rather donate directly than overpay on a ticket of a game I may not want to attend.

Do you? Not picking on you specifically - but this is the kind of thing people say but then don't do.

I find it interesting that Gampel seats will cost more than XL seats, they have been the same for years. The premium at Gampel is based on what? Smaller venue, better atmosphere? Will there be more premium games there? For me living in Hartford area, getting to XL is obv more convenient, as I am sure it is for a majority of donors- so I am not sure why they are charging more.
Is is just 'cause it's Gampel?

Lower sideline according to chart will be $1,400 donation plus $775 for seat for a total of $2,175 per seat in 2027–28 at Gampel. Where are you getting your numbers from

Yeah spot on. The folks in my sections at Gampel and XL have become like a winter family, we see each other every week. That’s more than I saw my ex-girlfriend.

I’ll still pay, but I understand the fans who wanna go game by game. UConn calls and I open my wallet like an idiot.

Yes - but "lower sideline" at GP are at the baselines - $2175/ 8 games = $271 per seat per game, same as at XL where lower sideline includes all seats between the baselines. The lower sideline "premium" at GP is $1500+$850 = $2350/ 8 games = $293.
