At this rate the ACC is gonna be down with the A-10s and MACs. All of our talent is transferring out.
Yup--and it isn't being replaced by top end talent from the portal or from the high school ranks.

In WBB the term "Power 4" is a joke. It's a money-driven "Power 2" with a couple long-standing well-established outliers (UConn and Notre Dame) and a few new dollar-fueled upstarts such as TCU.

I've been a Louisville WBB season ticket holder since the 2007-2008 season. Prior to that it was all MBB for me - I was sports editor of the student newspaper my senior year, got to travel with the team and sit on press row, then was a MBB season ticket holder for about 30 years. I abandoned MBB mostly because of the one-and-done student (ha ha) athletes and their entourages. I found WBB attractive because the players stayed for four years and most of them actually got degrees in real academic disciplines. Now WBB is in the same dollar-driven cesspool as MBB. I don't blame the players and their families one bit for taking advantage of what I perceive as a broken system, but as a fan it stinks.

Rant over. Thank you for your time.

Dykstra is the real deal. Grapevine has Sophie Glancey transferring from NAU to Montana State

I concur. I've seen her play for BC and believe she's has been part of a couple FIBA squads with Canada Basketball.

My favorite of the Ga Tech trio! Will miss her but am relieved that she isn't going to another ACC school or to the SEC (sorry, folks). She will thrive in SoCal!

Why is Fisher holding the ball that way, with her two middle fingers together?
I have no idea but it looks like her ring finger isn't bent. Perhaps she had had a sprain or broken finger when the pic was taken. A Maryland fan might know.

Oregon St. got their requisite really tall player, 6-8 Nene Sow from Utah. Barely played in 2 years for the Utes, I think she was originally at a juco. We'll see if Rueck can do something with her.

This needs clarification. Is it 1,000 percent divided by two or is it 1,000 percent each, which adds up to an astounding 2,000 percent?
Or perhaps 1,000 percent to the second power -- which would be an unprecedented commitment level of one million percent!

Merkle, garzon, smikle, okananwa.. still need a point. But they have kubek, saylor on the bench. It's kind of a tier thing for me regarding Maryland. I think the 20-21 team was the last one that felt like a final 4 team, though they got upset in the tournament. I hope they can get back to being an elite team.

Isn't McLean returning as well? This is going to be an interesting roster. Think they need a little more outside shooting to balance out things.

The Terps are going to rely on three young but very talented PGs this season.

I know they have a couple talented guards coming in as freshmen this season. My thinking is from a veteran perspective to round out the roster.
