At the 5-minute mark the Lobos are on their way to another big scoring night leading Nevada 17 to 2. The game is being broadcast on the Mountain West network.
Lobos win the second game of the series against the Nevada Wolfpack. Former ASU Sun Devil Amanda Levin's Wolfpack did a great job of dictating the pace of the game and for the most part defending the three-ball line. Held the Lobos to 78 points well below their season average.
The wandering Lobos disposed of Utah State yesterday 93-55. The Duff twins were on fire as they combined for 39 points shooting 13 of 18 from the field (9 of 13 from three land), 6 boards, 9 assists and 1 turnover.
They face Utah State again today at 2:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time with the game to be televised on the Mountain West digital network.
The Lobos are scheduled to face conference leading CSU March 3rd and March 5th in a series that will decide the conference title.
Interesting that this series will play played almost immediately before the conference tournament which begins on March 7th. as top seeds neither the wondering Lobos or CS you will have to play on the 7th but they will be playing on the 8th.

Few would have expected UNM, which played 15 of its 17 regular-season games outside of New Mexico because of the state’s COVID-19 restrictions, to come in as the top seed. But the Lobos, picked to finish sixth in the league’s preseason poll, are not the only party crashers in the tournament bracket.
No. 2 seed UNLV was picked to finish ninth, No. 3 Colorado State was picked eighth, and No. 4 Fresno State was considered an overwhelming favorite. If that’s not sufficiently odd, consider that host UNLV might well prefer to have this tournament moved. The Lady Rebels went 8-0 in MWC road games but just 4-4 at home.
