I have never seen anything like this. I don't even know when I'm seeing! It's like she's just tossing the ball? Doesn't seem to flick her wrist at all!

long lean athletic. tough underneath. It takes her about 2+ seconds to get the 3 pointer off and it starts so low. She'll have to make drastic changes to score outside the post.

It isn't pretty. That is something that needs to be worked on. It could be an international thing because Kozlova don't have a great release either. Reggie Miller didn't have a great release but is one of the greatest shooters of all time.

She will get that swatted against college players. Way to low.

Honestly — it looks like the way I shoot having taught myself in my backyard. It did the job, but it wasn’t pretty.

I am sure it has worked for her in Swiss leagues with a certain level of talent and competition but I think it will be problematic for her in the ncaaw. I wonder if Freese will stop cheerleading long enough to get her a shooting coach before she transfers too.

Nina Davis had one of the most funky shot but she had an uncanny ability to score over and around bigger, taller post players. And she knew how to rebound really well at 5’11. Nobody expected her to be an all American and score over 2400 points and grab 1000 rebounds. Had a great time getting to know her in college and see her play!

Has some similarity to Emma Meeseman's soft shot? Now she needs to work on her footwork so that she travels just a little on every other shot. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Meese but holy jeez...

I think Maryland got her for rebounding and rim protection which she is really good at. Any scoring from her will be a bonus.

Well, sort of. I would say that Davis knew how to rebound and score, whether she was an effective shooter is a debate. Once Kalani Brown and Beatrice Mompremier arrived on campus, Nina did not have the room to move inside and struggle shooting from the perimeter. Her stats below show she is NOT an effect shooter:
Yr....Pts...FG%.......3pt...FT%......Reb
'16..16.3...54.8%...3/8...67.7%..6.1 (Brown Freshman Year)
'15...21.1..58.4%...0-2...67.7%...8.3

Okay I kind of agree with you there but point is is that even though Davis had a funky shot she still found ways to score! It doesn’t really matter if your shooting form is perfect or not, if you can score and play basketball by doing other things then that’s all that matters.

Chloe Bibby can work with her. Chloe is especially athletic. However coming off screens she caught the ball high with her hands ready to shoot. She didn’t bring it down to her chest like in this video.

Right foot forward, shooting from the hip? Once she hits college she'll be eating basketballs from her seat on the bench. Looks like a defense specialist to me.

Most kids coming into a program have room to grow. Totally altering one's shot can be either successful or have a disasterous effect. However, she appears to be more than a shooter, has quick feet and is athletic. There is something to build off of here.
