Loving the new lighting here at Gampel.. Gives a better game feel experience.. Lighting is more like MSG now.

Seriously. About 40% of the ceiling is silver rust now. They keep talking about a new hockey arena but with Gampel looking more aged than ever perhaps a 10-12,000 hoop/hockey arena?

Interior ceiling tile will be replaced starting after 2016 graduation. Part of a $10 million Gampel rehab.

Lighting is a huge upgrade. Focus should be on the court rather than entire arena. Allows them to improve starting lineup presentation should they choose. But to upgrade to LED's mostly brings the place up to the 21st century....I am ok with losing 1990's style.

I saw many people who look like they did not like it but change is not always welcomed in New England.

They said new lighting would be installed for this season. So I don't think they just shut off the lights in the uppers, which I don't remember being the case last year when I was at the game.

If this is the new lighting, I like the experience from inside but wonder if it'll diminish 200 level crowd shots on TV.

I thought the roof looked sweet when GP first opened. Now, not so much.

We have needed students on the sidelines since it opened. The Unniversity seems to disagree with us.
