New helmets

So after finally seeing them in game action....

Mehh. New helmets still look ridiculous. Problem #938, 471 on our football program's laundry list, but still. After seeing what the rest of college football teams have, from the simple traditional to the wild designs, most still look first class, and ours look cheaply done - just not working.

Wish they'd scrap that whole Rorschach uterus top stripe and just slap a logo on the sides.

Agree 100% - it looks like Manuel hijacked an arena football team's equipment truck.

I don't really hate the new logo... but the helmets looked worse than I thought they would. They just look silly.

We get it..... people are split on the new helmets. This issue has been hashed and rehashed far too many times to count.

I was actually on the side that said why not, they may look ok on the field, but they looked awful.

Blue is much better and the idea of piercing baby blue eyes in conjunction with it is even better.

The white sucks but that's ok. We can tweak the uniform when we tweak the coach.

I admit to hating them from the beginning, but seeing them on tv they weren't as bad as I thought. just looked like someone slopped some paint on there.You couldn't really make out what it was...as someone posted elsewhere, it looked like UConn had two socks with holes in them on the front. I'd say more dumb than ugly. I'd rather junk the whole look and go with plain white or plain blue even. Overall, I have to say the new uniforms were generally a mess. Too many lines and swirls with that stupid piping and none of it really seeming to connect to anything. And I realize that this is problem 978,431, as well, but it certainly doesn't help anything to look silly on top of all the other problems.

i actually like them, from the side, it looks pretty nice .. although i really liked the block C helmut

I like everything about the new uniforms with one major exception, that being the eyes and face on the front of the helmets which look ridiculous.

Haha! Arena Football... So true. They just need a nice, simple, good looking helmet- go with the new logo on the sides (or one side with numbers on the other), and then do 1 alternate lid, maybe the blue one of these? OR BRING BACK THE BLOCK 'C'!!

On the bright side... I think the red trim on the jersey/pants is actually an upgrade from the previous plain (mock Penn St.) blue and whites.

The block "C" helmets are probably the best helmets we ever had. Classic design.

I kind of like this, but I would put the Husky on one side and the block C on the other. Make everyone happy, maybe.

I like them. Can we please get a board dedicated to uniforms, colors, helmets, socks etc so they're only talked about in one spot? Just like the AAC, the helmets are what they are

The Husky face on the front is doing nothing for us. I thought I'd like them but when Towson's helmets look better we've got a problem. I think the blue helmets should be the old block C. The white one's would look OK with the new Husky logo on the sides and the blue stripe down the middle.

Well, when you look at that picture the helmets make it look like the dog is attacking/eating the player being tackled... Kinda cool...
