Really? Know nothing about him.Spencer in a hot minute, yes please
Who could the NFL coach be? Better not be Daboll or Adam Gase.

Spencer had a cup of coffee on the Giants staff a few years ago. Could be him.Really? Know nothing about him.

Oh. I don't know about a position coach going to HC.It's Spencer. He used to coach in the NFL and he's from Hartford like the tweeter.

I would like him as a Defensive Coordinator if we lose Brock.Spencer in a hot minute, yes please
Easy to be an All-Star recruiter when you have the fattest wallet. But he has been an associate HC so he has presumably been a part of running the day to day. And he is an all-star recruiter.
Chip Kelly local guy??Possibly. For me, I'd like to see a "recognizable name". I think it definitely helped that "Mora" was a recognizable football name, and I think that UConn needs that more than most institutions as it pertains to the transfer portal...
If we do something like that I hope we bring on a mentor (someone who has had success running a program before).Oh. I don't know about a position coach going to HC.
We should be looking to NDSU, Montana, Montana St and other Missouri Valley coaches. All completely dominate the FCS with little to no NIL money and smaller athletic budgets than UConn.

I agree 100% This was why I thought all the speculation would be just that, speculation. I didn’t see him wanting to move again, start over again, and run the risk of flaming out to end his career. I thought he’d continue to build what he has here and retire in a few years to the mountains and be able to look back at the masterpiece he had created. Instead he went down the river to CSU.It seems extremely likely it was a lifestyle decision. I figured he would coach here a couple more years and then retire to the mountains and rivers.
given the players we are losing this year along with much tougher schedule there is a great chance next season will not go very well. Maybe that is why Mora decided to leave now while this on top.I agree 100% This was why I thought all the speculation would be just that, speculation. He was even back at Vandy. This isn't a recent thing for him...Easy to be an All-Star recruiter when you have the fattest wallet.
I actually think Daboll would do well somewhere like UConn. It seems like his biggest issue was dealing with the media and the pressure of the jobSaban swears by Daboll
Says he's a good recruiter, a top OC for him, and can put together a good staff. We could only hope he would consider us, Saban wants him at Penn St.
Northeast guy. Giants are paying him next year so we can even pay him low the first year. His problems with the Giants stem from an awful GM and the defensive side of the football, which means he needs a top notch DC of course.
After molding Josh Allen, Jalen Hurt and Jaxon Dart he should at least be able to pull in QB's, which is half the battle in college football.
In addition, he's a name who would show the power conf. crowd that we continue to be serious about football
Yes I agree we need a coach that can recruit on the East Coast. We also need a coach that can attract QBs to UConn and be able to recruit top HS qbs that can compete from day 1. To be a competitive school we can’t just get portal guys from Maine. Yes I love Fagnano but we need to be able to get this caliber year in and year out.I'm going to disagree. UConn needs a coach that can coach and recruit, wherever that may be. We can't limit our recruiting to New England. Sure, UConn should try to develop a HS QB, but, in the portal era, the top QBs go to a top school and then if they don't win the competition for starter, they transfer.
What if UConn can find that coach that can compete every year and not have to depend on the transfer portal so much. Yes I know today’s college landscape is depending on the transfer portal but would be nice to get high caliber guys from high schools to develop and succeed.given the players we are losing this year along with much tougher schedule there is a great chance next season will not go very well. Maybe that is why Mora decided to leave now while this on top.
You think that 37 college kids could keep quiet about this in the age of social media and instant on line gratification?I would like him as a Defensive Coordinator if we lose Brock.
I would like to get a quality coach who can recruit and keep the system going.
I wonder if Mora knew he was leaving on Senior Day? Why did UConn have 37 people walk?
Hell even North Dakota almost beat K state this year. NDSU's head coach makes something like 440k after a ton of incentives. He probably won't leave but it's worth the call![]()
I have had a few posts in the past mentioning at least NDSU. Both Montana schools would be good, too. NDSU is a top tier FCS team that play mid-level P4 teams tough.

I think they recognized anyone who had 4 or more years of experience. Some of the guys who walked this year, walked last year as well. I suspect some of those 37 will walk again next year.I wonder if Mora knew he was leaving on Senior Day? Why did UConn have 37 people walk?
This x 1000.Here’s mine:
1. Must be a head coach or was one at a high level.
2. Will bring coaches and talent with him. The great ones always do.
3. Must be able to thrive and win in the NIL/Rev Share environment and not cry about its complexity and ambiguity.
Straightforward enough?
I'm glad you pointed this out, cuz that puzzled me over the years with his Sun Valley tag. It's like he didn't want his identity to reflect being based on the East Coast, he was merely just employed by an entity on the East Coast. It's another underhanded slap in the face that on Day 1 he's a Colorado guy.I’m ready to see a coach who actually acts like he wants to be here 12 months a year.
His stupid Twitter profile said Sun Valley for the last 4 years.
Today he changed it to Fort Collins.
