I just wanted to share a pic my son sent me. I can have him send more if people are interested.
It just doesn't match the campus style.

Thanks for sharing, they really do build quick. Here’s the final design.

I believe it’s a net zero building too, energy from solar panels and heat/AC from geothermal.

I'm not sure what the campus style is though. There are a few areas that match, but that's just because they were built at the same time. But, there is no general aesthetic at UConn. I think that's okay at bigger schools. And once you have a hodge podge, you may as well just build nice stuff without worrying about the fit. It's not like the engineering building looks like Wilbur Cross.

Re dorms, I have kids going to small liberal arts colleges. The buildings all fit a general aesthetic. It's cool, but my daughter's dorm room is old and tiny. I'd rather the dorm room be nice and roomy than have the exterior fit in to the rest of the buildings.
 
you may as well just build nice stuff
If you consider a dorm built in the style of a 1950s county jail "nice"...
