Wow, good for them, Luck must be fist pumping everyone in site today. Remember when a small minority on this board wanted nothing to do with the b12 during the BE merger rumors?

just wait until they add 2 for a ship game. and then from there to 16 after the sec...

There's the SEC/Big-12 Bowl Game and the Tier III TV rights for the games against the hairdresser schools which together should add up to another $5 million a year. They stand a good change of getting two teams in the playoffs which is more money. Still looks like $10 mil more to me than the ACC if they add two non-dilutive teams for playoff.

20 mil is actually 5-7 mil LESS than the blogosphere was predicting. The Big12 number does not include a share for the conference so each school is on the hook for at least $200,000 for league office expenses. The ACC and other conference contracts have a share for the league offic built intio the numbers that have been reporterd.

Also, the Big 12 contract does not have automatic 'look-ins' at five years and 10 years like the ACC contract does so unless the composition of the Big12 (TX leaving for example) changes and triggers a change in the 20 the 20 is a fixed number. Oh, actually 19.8 less the league share. ACC is at 17 plus and FSU said the additional travel of Big12 would be at least 2 mil per year.

Does not look like a super deluxe deal that has any ACC school ordering up the moving vans.

Neinas still has that ironclad GOR to fall back on, right? Right?
