New Athletic Complex Videos/Pics/Updates

I have no idea what DI college softball fields look like, but I have to believe this is going be among the nicer facilities in the nation.

Nope. SEC and PAC12 got some huge stuff like Florida here. But it is great for our the program and it looks to be easily expanded. They got the mega bucks and history.

Like your fandom, he’s been breathing like that since ‘65
If you know him, as I do, since his days at SCSU (SCSC then), this concern and the labored breathing are recent

Actually it contains Matt Barnes name and photo. I believe they are in the bullpen which Barnes donated $$ for.
He can afford it. His base salary for 2021 is $4.7 million. He becomes free agent after 2021 and there should be a good list of teams that would want his services.

Where will the new hockey arena be built? I thought it would be across the street from Frietas near the softball field where the old baseball field was but there's now a soccer practice field there. I have to imagine it will be in part of the parking lot next to Freitas?

As of now, construction is projected to begin in April 2021, finished in December 2022.

Is it just me or does it look like the diagonal bracing (for transient loads - wind/seismic) conflicts with a door in the upper left photo?
There’s no door. The baseboard trim is consistent throughout the photo.

It's not just you. I thought the same thing.

Dang Architects, never coordinating with the Structural Engineers.
“Well, we just figured you’d rather have a standing structure rather than easier access to the rubble.”

What is the brown rectangle hanging from the ceiling? Looks to have the faint husky logo on it.

I can't see a door there but if there is it doesn't make sense
The place is awesome - thank you Tony Rizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
A UConn Soccer person come through

How many teams are stationed in the Rizzo center? Are all the olympic sports offices now in there as opposed to the Fieldhouse? Soccer, baseball, softball, lacrosse locker rooms all in there?
