Sucks about Pettiford but Fland and Betsey would start off a pretty amazing class. Let's lock em up

Gonna be disappointed if we don't land Betsey. Other than that it doesn't appear to be a big class and not many targets.
Which makes sense given the 5 man 2023 class and the uncertainty around a lot of the players status beyond this season. Just take the starting SG spot. If it's Alleyne, then a 2024 recruit starts looking pretty attractive. It it's a transfer with 2-3 years all of a sudden you don't need that spot as badly

Why he moved: When we last updated the 2024 rankings coming out of the summer of 2022, Tyler Betsey was a guy that we seriously considered getting pretty aggressive with from a rankings perspective. We liked his near 6-foot-8 size, length and ability to make shots from the perimeter. However, he was a little bit inconsistent so we decided to be a little more cautious with his ranking. In retrospect, we should have been much more aggressive. Now the product of Oakdale (Conn.) St. Thomas More is getting a much deserved bump thanks to showing that everything that we saw in the summer was legit and that he's also improved his all-around game. It may just be the start of things. He'll enter the grassroots season as a dude who has serious potential to make the jump to five-star status over the course of the next few months.
