This young man has been spending time in the weight room. He looks like a college sophomore. He has the build to add weight.

This kid appears to be a beast. I think he's a huge grab!
Big boy - June 9, 2013: Sheridan Lawley at the Nike Football Training Camp at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon.

Alot of kudos from north of the border:
  • DL Sheridan Lawley; Abbotsford Mouat. “This is a beautiful body, an incredible athlete and someone we think can help us on the edge if we lose Ben D’Aguilar.
  • Sheridan Lawley, the defensive lineman from Mouwat HS in BC is very good and could be the top high school dlineman out of BC.

There are dozens of short clips on YouTube from a camp he attended (Red shorts) - you can cycle right through them:

I think this kid is a DE in college. Good speed off the edge and strong with the frame to add another 20 lbs of good weight.

That would put him at 6'5" around 285. Possible 3-4 DE? or even a big 4-3 DE?

This was my first reaction. 3-4, end that can slide in play DT in a 4-3. His frame looks like it could develop into Chris Long from UVA type. Definitely recrutiting for their system.

Welcome and congrats to Sheriden Lawley on earning a full ride.

Bringing in prototype prospects without actually saying it.

Welcome to the Dog Pound, Sheriden!!!

I can't believe this kid was not highly recruited out of Jersey. Lawley is the perfect 3-4 DE at 6'5 250 lbs and he runs a 4.7 forty. I believe he had about 15 to 20 sacks along with 65 tackles this season.

Rivals indicates he is being brought in as DT.

Yeah, I believe Diaco brought him in as a 3-4 DE, 4-3 DT

From JB Article on TOS:

>>"The facilities were obviously outstanding, but the biggest thing for me was Coach Diaco and his staff," said Lawley, who is 6-foot-5 and 265 pounds. "Coach Diaco is changing the program around completely and I wanted to be a part of the success. I really feel like I can contribute to the team." Lawley also had the opportunity to interact with his future position coach, Kevin Wolthausen. "I really liked him," he said. "His game plan fit well with what I had done this year."<<

Has a great build and great motor. Should be a nice pass rushing asset on the DL.

“I had verbally committed (to McMaster) and there were some other Canadian schools like Queen’s in the picture,” Lawley said Tuesday from New Jersey, “but the whole time I was doubting the decision. I thought I was good enough to play Div. 1 football and I didn’t want to live my life regretting not trying it.”

“I am super excited about our new staff,” Lawley explained of UConn, which competes in the newly-former American Athletic Conference (formerly the Big East). “Coach Diaco is bringing a new mentality to UConn. It’s known as a basketball school, but he wants it to be known as a football school.”
