Nevada AD mentions Uconn and possible aac vs mwc challenge

1. Doug is a great guy
2. Nevada would have throttled UConn this year in basketball & football
3. Nevada had a chance to be a top 10-15 team next year before Cameron Oliver declared for the draft. They will still be really good.
4. Anything that gets UConn playing in my hometown (Reno, NV), I'm all for.
5. UConn hasn't played Nevada since the preseason NIT in 2003. It's time to do it again.

I think the Martin twins will more than make up for the loss of Oliver.

Nevada would not have throttled UConn is basketball, football yes. I watched them and while they were good in basketball a ten game series with our guys probably would have been 5-5. Just me 2 cents.;)

We need to hear from the athletic director of Nevada the day after never.

He and his school are pocket lint - if UConn needs to buy a basketball game to fill a hole in the schedule, maybe he'll hear from them then.

I like the idea:

MWC RPIs from last year: 29, 66, 72, 76, 86, 98, 152, 191, 181, 241, 251

Lower Quartile: 72
Upper Quartile: 191
Mean: 131
Median: 98

AAC RPIs from last year including Wichita St: 12, 13, 32, 54, 69, 119, 121, 132, 135, 214, 298, 316

Lower Quartile: 37.5
Upper Quartile: 194.25
Mean: 126.5
Median: 120

Plenty of opportunity for matchups. The AAC has more top end talent, but if the MWC is OK with having their top-half teams play our top-half, but knowing their bottom half is better than the AAC, it seems like a match.

For UConn, I’d be happy to play against any of the MWC’s top 6 teams. I’m sure Wichita St, Cincy or SMU would have no problem battling Nevada, Colorado St or Boise St. Teams like East Carolina match up well with Air Force, Utah St. I like the idea.

It's a dopey idea.

There isn't a single high-major basketball program in the Mountain West, save UNLV when they have the ATM running.

If you are a second tier NCAA conference school ... hiring Eric Musselman was a good move. He will do great things - at this lower level.

Too far and too high. Jalen gasses out at sea level, imagine him at 6000 feet. KO should demand a 20 point spot.

You watch, after this season Musselam will land a job at a P5 school. I was surprised he was not offered the Cal job.
