I can't find a compilation. Unfortunately, I think you need to calculate attendance from the game box scores.

Okay. So it's NOT just me.... grrrrrr.....

I have everything except the F4 in a spreadsheet, if you want it. Taken from the box scores at the time.

Can you give me just the total - with or without the F4?

Anyone have the men's total?

Total - 212,011 without the Final 4

1st round - 83,685; 2nd round - 71,527; Sweet 16 - 29,589; Elite 8 - 27,210

Posted above. Sorry it took so long, my internet bonks in and out, at times.

As to the men, no, don't follow at all.

Thanks for the efforts... I'm writing up a rant...

F4 attendance was 17545. (although you probably already had that)

Piecemealing numbers is annoying and fraught with opportunities to mess up (especially when you're ranting). This is what I have for F4 TOTALS:
35,000 ish women's fans, 148,652 men's fans.

I'm struggling to accept the Sweet 16 number.

I got 30157 counting only four of the 8 games. That doesn't count the CT MD game, which I assume was about 8700

That doesn't include the Georgia Stanford game, which I would guess at 6000

When I said 17,454, that's each night, so a total of 35090. I'm slightly surprised the numbers are identical for both nights, but it was a sellout, so makes sense.

Well, you only do count 4 of the 8 games, there is only a session attendance.
If we have a discrepancy, it may be in the Connecticut game, as I cannot get a Sweet 16 attendance for Bridgeport, so I used the attendance at the elite 8 game for both. I have confirmed the other numbers on the original box scores:

Bridgeport - 8594 (based on elite 8 box)
Spokane - 6146
OKC - 9162
Norfolk - 5687

I always track the attendance at the various sites.

Yes, of course, wasn't thinking clearly.

Pretty sad that Norfolk couldn't outdo Spokane.

Box score for ND vs Duke was 6606 which does barely squeak by Spokane. I'd say that upsets in the early rounds by Kansas and Nebraska effected the attendance. South Carolina would have been geographically more likely to draw some fans and T A&M would have traveled well. It really is a case of disbanding geographical priorities because ND had the larger draw and Duke didn't add much to the pot even though they benefited the most. ND really hurt themselves by missing the application date for the first 2 rounds (not the BB department's fault, administrative error). They would have sold out compared to the 2600 ish attending at Duke.

Spokane had no team from within 1,000 miles, and its metro pop is 1/3 of Norfolk.

In spite of which, their total for the s16/e8 was only 300 less than Norfolk. Very impressive.
