Especially when you blew 2 on the previous possession when you shouldn't have.

We could have had 10000 timeouts Chandler still throws that pick because he's Chandler

Yeah anything to shade Diaco.

It was Diaco who wanted to SPLIT time between what he thought was a healthy Cochran and Chandler.

He was gonna play Chandler even when he didn't have to.

But nothing is ever Diaco's fault. This year doesn't count. In his mind or his followers. Who needs momentum or progress going forward. Let's keep losing winnable games to bad teams.

He isn't concerned about clock management. It's about building up players, improving the process and improving culture. Actual results and actual teaching points are accidental.

Plus, he gets to carry the timeout they saved over to next week. No need to use all three TO's each half.

Seriously the clock management is amateur hour. Waste two on the previous drive down two scores? Then save one when you have the ball inside the ten, with a chance to tie, with the play clock set to expire. It is comedic. Can't blame whitmer for that. That is on the head coach. It is laughably stupid coaching. Hope he is learning during his one year of "On the job training".

It's absolutely acceptable to assign fault to Whitmer (a fifth year senior) for rushing to the line and snapping the ball with 1 second left on the play clock when there was one TO left.

It's also absolutely acceptable to blame the coaching staff for failing to call a play and getting the player package in to the game to put the QB in that position.

The team was in position to tie.
Lack of execution by Whitmer lost the game. Bad choice.
Questionable timeouts sure. Didn't impact the game.

Of course it did. Created a situation where you needed an onside kick near miracle to be in a position to tie. We all know whitmer is what he is. He is turnover prone and that was a god awful interception, but shouldn't the coach be aware of the QBs tendencies and weakneses and rather than letting the ball be snapped in a state of panic as the play clock expired, maybe used his last time out to settle things down? WTF are you saving it for, it BEGGED to be used in that situation and it wasn't. That is poor coaching I'm sorry.
