Nebraska has the best traveling football fanbase in the country. How's about Warde dial 'em up and offer a game at MetLife?? C'mon man, the wrong Huskies are playing in a high profile neutral site game!

Do you realize that this was part of a three game, two for one series where the "home" game for Northern Illinois is actually at a neutral site? Would you be OK with that for us? Aren't people constantly complaining about the possibility of the Michigan being moved out of the Rent?

Being internationally based now, I have no dog in this fight but I actually don't mind some creative scheduling which upgrades our strength of schedule even if it means we lose an occasional "home" game to a neutral site in NY / NJ / MA.

You figure UConn is a more high profile team than NIU (and just as beatable). If UConn offered a 2-1 I'd think Nebraska would accept it, even if our home game was at the Rent. Send our basketball team to Lincoln to sweeten the deal.

I am not one of those people who complained about the Notre Dame contract series or the possibility of moving the Michigan game to MetLife Stadium. If UConn is not willing to expand their stadium, they can't pass up opportunities to play in Boston or New York/New Jersey if available. As "home" team, they would generate more ticket revenue even though a bevy of tickets would be purchased by our "visitor". $$ talks. Plus, the chance to play in a high profile game in NYC or Boston to show our appeal in both cities would help our cause in CR recruiting.

Nebraska would never come to the Rent. Their fans would fill our stadium if they could. That school travels B1G time. But I can see them wanting the opportunity to give their alumni and fans in the northeast a chance to see them play. I'd jump at a 1-1 with our "home" game being MetLife. Or do a one and done at MetLife and split proceeds.

That would be reasonable, but the home game has to be at Rentschler. Otherwise just tear it down since it really isn't a suitable home field for big time ball.

Nebraska would come to the Rent. My God, they played at Wake Forest only a few years ago and managed to win by a little. I think you can cram 33,000 in WF's field on a good day.

All we wanted from ND was one of the.games at the Rent. You know, that marketing thing we keep screaming about) ND, our poor put upon conference brother, said no.

We went out and got Mich, Tenn, NCST, and MD as home dates. It was correct to say no.

Play 1-1 in Gillette as our home game, with 1-1 for both men's and women's basketball. That should get it done. Whatever happens, both end-zones say "Connecticut" or "UConn". It needs to look like a home game on TV.

Because some of would prefer seeing Nebraska at a nearby NFL stadium to seeing MAC and SunBelt conference opponents at home. If we can get the big names to come to East Harford (Michigan), by all means, we should. But at this juncture, raising our profile and playing the biggest names we can, with the widest TV audience possible is a mission critical need. We are perceived as "podunk U" from a football perspective. If it takes one home game a year at an NFL site, it's a price we can afford to pay until we get into a real league, attract more fans and expand the Rent.

But then we are stuck with exporting (neutral site) our big games and playing the MACs and Sunbelts at Rentschler. Small time. I would, however, be in favor of series (a four game for example) where its 2-1-1, with the big name opponent actually coming into Rentschler for one of the games.
