Great Start by both teams Stanford leads at first media timeout 16-13. Good Flow to the game, enjoyable to watch so far.

We would have a tough time with either. Prefer ND.....Stanford scares me a little more.

Stanford leads 24-22 end of 1st qtr. Karlie Samuelson hit three 3's in quarter with the last one with approx 2 seconds left to get Stanford the lead.

Last 3 under duress with shot clock winding down from near 3o feet. She is the best player on Stanford.

I don't know why Stanford is so reluctant to attack the ND defense through the high post.

These refs need glasses. Karlie was in position standing straight up. Young initiated the contact. Then Young goes over the back for a rebound, the Stanford player goes down and no call. The blocking foul just called was a joke. ND getting the calls, and non calls, once again.

Arike is ballin.....but is always playing one on one. Stanfords structure gives us problems. So If ND wins, I expect to see them make it to the title game.

Young got called for an over the back foul. Samuelson arms weren't straight up when Young initiated the contact, which is technically a foul. And number 11 slid under Ogunbowale while she was in the air. Not seeing what you're seeing.

Just got up to watch this game. Wow. The lack of size and athleticism on both sides almost makes me think I'm watching a game from 20 years ago. Almost. Except for the 1 on 1 capabilities of Ogunbowale and the speed of Allen. ND's playing a combination of 2/3's, 3/2's and box and 1's. Defenses they are unaccustomed to using, and Stanford is acting as if they don't know how to attack any of them. All of these zones say "We can't cover you man 2 man and/or we lack size so we dare you to shoot". Stanford looks slow and uncreative. ND is susceptible to any team with size, athleticism and speed. To bad Stanford has none of those.

Ogunbwale on fire. Stanford in trouble. No one should doubt MM and ND. They know what they are doing.

I said the game was over at 32-27, and that's been absolutely correct.

If ND plays like this going forward, they'll be very hard to beat.

Latest stretch of the game, Stanford was exposed by Notre Dame. Notre Dame is quicker and overwhelm Stanford with their quickness and shooting abilities. For Stanford to get back into the game McCall has to start dominating in the low post.

Wow. That 2nd surge by Notre Dame has put a ton of pressure on Stanford. Let's see what 2nd half adjustments Coach Tara makes. Still a great game.

Got up at 9 am PT.
Had to decide between Church and Notre Dame.
Notre Dame won.

Man, Stanford is slo-o-o-o-o-ow. Not that ND are speed demons. But certain players for ND are noticeably quicker than anything on Stanford.

Just feel that Arike can take over this game whenever she wants to. Reminds me of when Skylar was at ND. When ND needs Arike she'll attempt to take over the game.

I think Brianna Turner being out is a blessing in disguise for ND. This allows them to abandon the post and go with the guard-oriented system that's been their bread and butter. Turner also had a tendency to come up small in big games.

Putting things entirely in the hands of Ogunbowale and Allen, not bothering to work through Turner, makes them more dangerous.

Exactly. The first thing you absolutely MUST DO against N.D. is stop the ball. Sorry Tara, but what is going on with that ?
