Interest read, thanks. Things I forgot or didn't know. I thought it was present on a higher plain.
Nice resume tho.Interest read, thanks. Things I forgot or didn't know. I thought it was present on a higher plain.
11 losses to ND? That is the best against usSERIES: UCONN leads 33-11
That's not close.
OK, how 'bout ND is 11-33 against UCONN?11 losses to ND? That is the best against us
Since 1995 how many losses have we had? I dunno 35? So almost 1/3 of our losses in 20 years have come against ND. No question ND has been our biggest rival. Tennessee who?OK, how 'bout ND is 11-33 against UCONN?

Wow, what I read was a heck of a lot of material about how good they are.... but that they cannot get over the hump... Hey everyone we have been top 10... but not as often as UCONN.... we were in four of the last five championship games... but oh yeah we lost all four.... Interesting they want to air their "dirty laundry".
UConn-ND game notes, UConnHuskies.comYou are RIGHT---A Notre Dame site telling THEIR fans how great they are--how egocentric they are"?
On the Uconn site WE always emphasize Notre Dame Wins, we never say how many Championship games Uconn has been in nor does Uconn site talk about the 10 National Championships it has won -cuz Uconn site is generous and we don't want ND fan to think badly of us.
Thanks for the ND report! In my eyes we can never beat ND TOO bad! 30+ will be alright!
Not to upset any Red Sox fans on THE BONEYARD, but I equate UCONN/ND or UCONN/TN like the Yankees vs the Red Sox. If the Red Sox were to win the next 18 World Series titles in a row they will only TIE the NY Yankees total of 27!
A majority of ND & TN fans think their teams are equal or better than UCONN, but 10 Titles to 1 & 8, respectively doesn't equal UCONN's 10 in 10 Finals as Nan showed above!
As I stated previously elsewhere, ND has been in 5 Finals winning 1, that we gave them by the way!
A large majority of both ND & TN fans are bitter and nasty to UCONN!
It really bothers me that so many TN fans on their fan sites are still bitching and nasty about Geno, Maya Moore & Maya's Mom!
Get over it already!
Me thinks you have too many posters blocked. You are RIGHT---A Notre Dame site telling THEIR fans how great they are--how egocentric they are"?

I have noticed a large swing this season towards unparelleled respect for UConn, players and sometimes Geno (They all seem to grudginly think he is a better coach than they have) from all including UT and ND fans. I'm a bit impressed. Makes me respect them back even.A majority of ND & TN fans think their teams are equal or better than UCONN.
A majority of ND and Tennessee fans think their team is equal or better than UConn? How did you possibly infer that? Have you read McGraw's Bench or Vol Nation? If you have and you STILL feel that, then you are suffering from the logical fallacy termed selective attention.
As I stated previously elsewhere, ND has been in 5 Finals winning 1, that we gave them by the way!
Classy. So if we win, it's a gift from you. And if we lose, it's indicative of our program's inferiority.
A large majority of both ND & TN fans are bitter and nasty to UCONN!
And as far as ND fans being bitter towards UConn, I would say that they are mostly bitter toward a small group of vocal and obnoxious UConn fans (although Geno certainly gets some shade thrown his way by envious fans). Fans like you infuriate ND fans by calling the entire team (minus Turner and Allen) stiffs. Let me ask you, why would Geno have recruited Westbeld, Reimer, and Ogunbowale if they were such pedestrian talents? There are many UConn fans (like you) that denigrate other teams in their efforts to praise UConn. It is completely unnecessary for any fan to engage in such behavior, but it is especially egregious for a fan of the country's best team (in the midst of most dominant dynasty the sport has ever seen) to belittle the efforts of their competitors.

t I admire your steadfast UCONN fan-ness but you're about an 11 on the tonyc-meter with this one.
10 for 10!
With the 63-53 win over No. 2/2 Notre Dame on April 7, UConn claimed its 10th national championship in its 10th appearance in a national championship game. Below is a list of teams to win multiple national championships and how many appearances they have made in a national title game.
School NC’s NC Games
Conn 10 10
Tennessee 8 13
Baylor 2 2
La. Tech 2 4
Stanford 2 4
USC 2 3
It's a school SID officer's job to pump up the fans and to project a positive view of the program. If the ND SID hadn't posted the rah-rah stuff, s/he wouldn't have been doing their job.
I think you're going a bit too far with this comment! While a vast majority of Irish fans respect Geno's accomplishments, we are generally VERY happy having Muffet as our coach. In general, we feel that Geno has been so dominant vs. Notre Dame because for many of the years, he has won the recruiting wars and thus Muffet hasn't been dealing with equivalent talent. Certainly the recruiting services have agreed that UConn has acquired the lion's share of the talent. With ND's recent recruiting success, the gap has narrowed, although Jewell's unexpected early departure and injuries to our posts this season pushed back ND's window to compete with UConn one more year.I have noticed a large swing this season towards unparelleled respect for UConn, players and sometimes Geno (They all seem to grudginly think he is a better coach than they have) from all including UT and ND fans. It's refreshing just to see someone use "infer" correctly! Happens around here much less often than not. The rest of the post was excellent, also.A majority of ND & TN fans think their teams are equal or better than UCONN.
