For all of us Uconn fans that dislike Notre Dame it was nice to see them one and done in the ACC tourney and probably out of the big dance too for the 2nd year in a row.Granted last year was nicer with the way Miss Muffet and ND were so pitiful..all kidding aside I guess it was better when they were relevant..at least for a few years we had some sort of rivalry
I have to say that Maybery is even more annoying than her 2 older sisters were
So who is our rivals now..closest team I can think of is SC which maybe will be more of a rivalry the next few years with the incoming class they have plus basically only losing 1 player and she isn't a starter
That SEC must be one heck of a conference. Can you believe Arkansas also lost to Mississippi?? What an up & down team! No problem with Baylor or UCONN, & they lost by 1 to Texas A&M. But they struggle within their conference.
I don't know Sarge. We seemed to get past the hangups pretty quickly when we brought Versyp in from Doomington after Curry hightailed it, even though the local mobs weren't very happy. But I would agree that Purdue tends not to go for splashy HC types. Personally think they would probably bring Katie Geralds home if they do something in the next year or so.No Purdue AD would hire a former ND coach, they would be strung up for even thinking of such a travesty.
Given that we were very close to being 0-3 this year in SEC play, it would support your hypothesis. That SEC must be one heck of a conference.![]()
I would even take Goestenkors over MM any day she was an assistant under Dunn.I don't know Sarge. Some will find this as an adequate definition of schadenfreude.

With Austin, Johnson and Madison Scott, Mississippi can keep up with any team when on their game..........I'm frankly surprised they don't have a better record.....I watched that game from tip to buzzer. A very entertaining game. Both teams went toe to toe, back and forth, but Ole Miss simply outlasted them. Chelsea Dungee scored her season average of 22 points. She couldn't find the magic against Mississippi like she did against us. She played like she was in a "zone" against us. Everything she threw up went in. Not so last night.
This was the first time I saw Mississippi's post player 6-5 junior Shakira Austin, who transferred in from Maryland. She picked the perfect time to post a new career high/game high of 29 points. Arkansas had no answer for her. She also did a good job guarding the paint. Three blocks / only 2 fouls over 33 minutes. I like her. She can shoot free throws too. 9/9 last night.
Lauren Betts is the 6-7 player you're referring to. The number 1 ranked player for the 2022 class. She's number 1 for a reason, just as Paige Bueckers was in her class. If you think Stanford is tough now, wait till next year.![]()

I DO agree with you, but i DO understand why people can feel that way. Many coaches became bitter with UCONN's success. Many were arrogant, spiteful and at times downright rude. Many, as you see have, or are 'going down', maybe because of recruiting falling short or.........perhaps, because of their own bitterness. Remember, the bible states "Pride is before a crash, And a haughty spirit before stumbling".Wilson Mizner said, "Be nice to people on your way up because you'll meet them on your way down". Geno won't coach forever. All the gloating those of us do now over ND, Tenn and the like will be nothing compared to the party others will have the day UConn fails to make the Cotillion. Sorry. I find no pleasure in watching the great rivalries UConn had fade. It does nothing for WCBB.
Your absolutely right.Seems like Tara wont take anyone under 6'2'.That being said Haley Jones who is a soph but was hurt last year is an elite guardStanford is loaded at wing/post players and they're going to be great, but have you ever noticed that Tara rarely, if ever, lands elite guards? She is a wonderful coach, but all the best players to come out of Stanford have been post players and wings.
What's their guard situation like? Basketball is a guards game and I think Oregon has the best young guard in the conference, by a long shot, in Tahina Paopao.

Good call. You were right. Georgia sent them home 78-66.Kentucky will go out of the SEC tournament today. Personally don't think Rhyne Howard should have won SEC Player of the Year.
That’s been a recruiting habit of Tara’s for years. Unless you are a super talented player, she won’t seriously consider recruiting a player if their not at least 6-2. Hailey Jones is BIG guard at 6-1.Your absolutely right.Seems like Tara wont take anyone under 6'2'.That being said Haley Jones who is a soph but was hurt last year is an elite guard
Maryland has ( quietly ) an outstanding team again this year, and is likely the Big 10 champ. I can't imagine how much better they would be if Austin had remained with them. Whew.I watched that game from tip to buzzer. A very entertaining game. Both teams went toe to toe, back and forth, but Ole Miss simply outlasted them.
