This is the same team we saw last week. Great defense and virtually no offense. Only difference seems to be the penalties which are hurting a lot.
 
We need Nick to make a big play...

be realistic here, if you're leaving college cb's out there 1 on 1 while you send blitzes every play, you're going to get beat deep occassionaly. the difference between a sack/a dropped pass and a td was about 1/2 second and 1/2 inch there.
 
Turnover and they make us pay! The offense needs to give the d some rest. We need to drive the ball down field and score.

That bulls*** wildcat is killin me bro... along with the bulls*** run plays on 2nd and short and 3rd and short... Whitmer is ALSO locking in on one friggin receiver... and NC State seems to sniff it out every time...

And what's the saddest part about this is that NC State's front four on D is pinning their ears back now... NOT good...

I'm still waiting to see the offense actually show up. Everyone kept reassuring the board that the offense was playing vanilla against UMass....well it sure as hell doesn't look anymore exqusite today.....
 
Don't give up D! We're behind ya even if your offense isn't.
 
If Whitmer pulls the s*** he just pulled one mo' gin ( YET another INT ), he's not the answer at QB for us... Sorry guys, I call it like I see it....

Horrible decision. Threw into double coverage on a wide out throw into a strong wing. Horrible decision.

I get the idea of getting Nick Williams the ball. But he's not the only receiving option out there. Especially when he's double covered.
 
I feel so bad for our D. They are just scrapping.

We are seeing why Whitmer threw so many picks in Juco ball. He doesnt see the field. Can't see wide open guys because he doesn't look
 
Ugh. Last 5 minutes:
- UConn fumble
- NC St fumble, but they recover
- NC St 46yd TD
- Despite 15yd penalty, only return to 23
- UConn INT

Theme for the day: mistakes & missed opportunities.

Our Offense owes the D a break here. I don't care if we don't score, we gotta let them get a blow with a couple of first downs.

the wildcat is a trainwreck and always has been.

we had a couple decent games of it last year and besides that its been garbage. people just fell in love with it cause it was something different than our traditional '3 yard 3 yard incomplete pass punt' offense.
