GM fans - all top 16 seeds made it through the first round. None of the one bid conferences survived. Here's a breakdown of bids by conference and how many are still alive:

The NC State - Michigan game will likely depend on the health of Brooks. Didn't get to catch the game but saw a replay of the injury.😖.

While I hope it isn't as bad as it seems, I don't know if putting her out there is a good idea against this Michigan squad if she's not close to herself.

Does anyone want to make any upset predictions for today and tomorrow? I'm not counting the 5s beating 4s as upsets.

Today looks like it'll be all chalk. Tomorrow looks more rife for upsets... Alabama over Louisville, Virginia over Iowa, and Notre Dame over Ohio State all seem possible. I don't think we'll lose any 1 seeds but I think some 2-4s could be gone after this weekend.

I was gonna say NCState over Michigan was most likely, but I just saw that Brooks won't be playing.

Two days ago I would've said UVa over Iowa was a ridiculous thought, but the Cavs looked really good against Georgia and Iowa didn't against Fairleigh Dickenson of all teams. I'm impressed with how well the Cavs are using their size; it's rattled both teams they've played, and while Iowa has two really good frontcourt players, I think those matchups favor UVa.

The Smith vs Heiden match up could be a fun one.
