I'm feeling really sorry for South Florida, tough to be in our bracket...too bad

Not that it probably matters but why is Texas considered weaker than Arizona State?
Since the PAC teams which were top 4 seeds couldn't be placed in the same region, that meant some "bumping". ASU lost in the conference tourney quarterfinals. Most folks figured UCLA was going to be a #2 seed and Arizona State a #3 seed. Regardless of their actual seed, they couldn't be placed in the same regional as the 2-3 teams. All I can think of is that Texas got bumped to prevent that.

UCLA is lucky because they get USF at home.

Yes and despite the odds being long we see them again, I think where we only have 2 teams in from the American in the Tourney it's total BS to set up a potential 4th meeting (between any two teams for that matter). Would have liked to have seen both USF and MD in SC Region. I don't get how MD ended up the 2 in ND's region. To me MD is the strongest 2.

I think ND got kinda robbed. Toughest bracket by far IMHO.[/QUOTE
Seems like the committee was conflicted. They felt like the best way to not have another UConn vs ND final was to put SCar in Sioux Falls and give them and easier path and let ND play closer to home but stick them with Maryland. I was really hoping for a Maryland vs SCar game. I think that is pretty unlikely now. Hey.... ya never know.

It's likely irrelevant. They would have to beat UCLA and Texas back-to-back to get to UConn. Maybe they will do that, but I doubt it.

Other than the possibility of a tough, tough 4th meeting with S Florida, our bracket is fine.

Certainly had hoped that ND would avoid drawing Maryland. Oh well.

We can worry about that later. Don't mind the brackets leading up to that.

So who is volunteering to track the results of all these SEC and Pac12 teams in the tourney and aggregate the data?

I really like that our Husky's are not shown sitting together in a room
and jumping up and down like jerks when the light goes on...
A good UConn tradition.
