Considering Texas foolishly is totally reopened how will this affect the tourney? Will fans be allowed? Technically, Texas is saying arenas can be full. What precautions are being taken to protect players, coaches, and auxiliary staff? Frankly, I would have moved tourney to a safer environment the moment Texas announced reopening but now it is probably too late. All I know is hundreds of young women are being put at risk.

For the millionth time, Texas is not re-opened. The governor lifted the government mask mandate. Businesses still enforce their own mandates and arena capacity will still be limited. In the week since the official mandate has been lifted, I have not been to a single business that does not have a mask requirement. The players will still be in a bubble in isolated hotels. Absolutely nothing has changed with regards to safety. The players are at more risk from the bus ride to the hotel than from coronavirus.
