NCAA Tourney games

So I should be watching the game instead of playing on the internet. Here I am complaining about lack of competitive games and TCU is hanging right in there.

U are nutz. Any of the 4 are more than capable of winning it all.
I agree. I just think Texas and ucla are slightly better.

I do think based on current form, Texas is playing better than the other teams.

TCU hung tough but let it get away at the end of the half. SC now up 8. It’s over.

Kindly direct any ire to @nwhoopfan. We have time stamps to confirm when the jinx went into effect. 😉

Tcu stays connected but SC dominates last 3 mins of qtr again

My guess is that TCU is slightly winning the first 7 mins of each qtr but SC is blowing them out the last 3

not south Carolina’s best performance. They are playing the game at tcu’s pace. And TCU is a giant team. I think South Carolina should try to run them a little.

First 7 minutes: TCU 34-30
Last 3 mins SC 19-7

Surprised UConn/Carolina is the early FF game Friday.

Then again it is the L.A. TV market they’re considering and one of the largest states in the other matchup.

Not surprising at all - two EDT schools in the first game and a PDT and CDT in the second. Makes much more sense to have the West Coast-teams-oriented game go second.

Women's Volleyball Final Four has a rule that the #1 overall seed automatically gets the early match of the double-header. Don't think any other college sport employs that.

Based on E8 games, I think ND was under ranked and Michigan was (somewhat) over ranked.

Notre Dame had 10 losses, including by 39 to Michigan. They have a supernova player surrounded by mehhhh*. If you want to make them a 5, fine, but that’s splitting hairs.

Michigan was always going to be a 2 with that resume. The only way you can move them lower is by ignoring the NCAA’s preferred rating system for eye test, but that would likely drop every Big Ten team save UCLA. Good luck selling that in the committee. And if you did, you’d need witness protection after the bracket reveal.

* fwiw, I have been Vandy skeptic all year and believe they have supernova + sidekick and better than meh but not much. It was the ideal top 2 matchup for ND.

Okay, same 4 teams in the Final 4 two years in a row. That ain't cool. Cannot happen again next year. Need at least 2 of them to step down. UCLA already volunteered by graduating their entire team. Need at least one of the other 3 to not make it to the FF next season.

Texas is by far the most dangerous team for UCONN to face in the tournament. They're demolishing a very good Michigan team while having their 2nd scorer shooting just 2-16 from the floor.
I found Michigan to be inconsistent...even within a game and for substantial stretches. I think they lose their concentration. Swords is streaky. They are better by a mile than the way they played tonight.

I believe this is the second time that the same four teams made the Final Four two years in a row, the first being 1995-96. Kind of fun fact: Both times included UConn; a former Pac-12 team (Stanford then/UCLA now); and two SEC teams (Georgia and Tennessee then/South Carolina and Texas now).

I nominate Texas. Harmon and Oldacre are their 2nd and 3rd best players.
