Of note, Providence/Brooklyn are first weekend hosts in 2016. MSG for the East Regionals in 2017. Boston for the East Regionals in 2018. North Carolina hosts all 3 years: Raleigh, Greensboro, Charlotte.

If there's any justice at all UNC will be banned during those years. But we all know how justice works with the NCAA.

There must be a requirement in the NCAA by-laws that Duke and UNC get home games in the first weekend of the tournament just like Indianapolis has to host a Final Four every 5-7 years...

Well, it does make sense for the NCAA to do that to cut down on travel costs as it is headquartered in Indianapolis and their compliance department for all intent is headquartered in either Chapel Hill (UNC) or Greensboro (ACC football, take your pick).

UConn showed in 2014 that hosting UConn brings in the cash and the hype, I am sure MSG, Barclays and Providence all noticed that. Though, I do wonder if Providence will make fans who want to see UConn in an NCAA regional game must by season tickets to the Friars, too.
